Nowcasting Weather, global provider of Metocean and Weather Forecasting today announces the opening of a new office in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
The Oman office will support existing and future customers throughout the Middle East and Asia, with a particular focus on United Arab Emirates. The company has been operating in these regions for several years and is expanding to meet the demands in the area. Two years after opening an office in Aberdeen, Scotland, the Irish based company is further extending its global reach.
"By opening this new office we will be able to work more closely with our clients in the region, offering improved service and relationship management," said Mark White CEO. "As we continue to grow we will consider adding other offices in other strategic regions."
The new office will be the focal point for provision of the full range of Nowcasting Weather meteorological services in the Middle East and Asia. “ Having worked for Nowcasting Weather for the last 3 years in the Irish HQ, I have been responsible for growing the market in the region and I am very excited by the opportunity to move to the region to further develop our business with local presence” said Ouafa Huson, Nowcasting Weather’s representative in the Middle East
Nowcasting International has been growing its business in the energy sector since they introduced their revolutionary "operational planning tool", Nowcasting Pro.  This service is now used throughout the industry for operational planning, and has revolutionised how operators interact with weather forecast information.
Nowcasting International is an established leader in supporting offshore meteorological and oceanographic forecasting information for international oil and gas operators. The company is celebrating its 10th birthday this month, and provides weather forecasting packages to companies in Europe, Africa, North America, South East Asia, the Far East and Australia. Customers include Exxon, Shell, BP and Chevron.
Nowcasting is headquartered in Ennis, Ireland with offices in Aberdeen, UK and Houston, Texas with its US based partners Wilkens Weather Technologies.

This announcement was made during the Enterprise Ireland Trade Mission to United Arab Emirates November 15-19th, led by Mr Billy Kelleher, T.D, Minister for Trade and Commerce in the Government of Ireland.
